Seattle’s iconic Bumbershoot Arts & Music Festival has officially unveiled its 2026 lineup, and it's a massive homecoming for local legends alongside some of the biggest names in punk and alternative. Taking place over Labor Day Weekend (September 5–6) at Seattle Center, the 53rd edition of the festival is also introducing major policy shifts designed to change how fans experience the 74-acre campus.
The 2026 Lineup
This year’s bill is headlined by two powerhouses: hardcore innovators Turnstile and Seattle’s own Death Cab for Cutie, who will be closing out the festival on Sunday following the release of their latest album, I Built You A Tower.
Saturday, Sept. 5 Highlights:
• Headliner: Turnstile
• Japanese Breakfast
• Blood Orange
• Bikini Kill
• Chase & Status
• Molchat Doma
• Peaches
Sunday, Sept. 6 Highlights:
• Headliner: Death Cab for Cutie
• Orville Peck
• De La Soul
• Yves Tumor
• Sudan Archives
• Tokimonsta
• Noname (performing a 10th-anniversary set for Telefone)
New Features: Sip, Stroll, and Step Out
In addition to the music, organizers are rolling out two highly requested features that modernize the festival experience:
1. "Sip & Stroll" Open Containers
The days of being confined to a fenced-off "beer garden" while your favorite band plays in the distance are over. Bumbershoot is debuting the Sip & Stroll experience, which allows the 21+ crowd to carry alcoholic beverages purchased on-site throughout the entire Seattle Center campus. You can now grab a drink and actually watch the art installations or catch a set at the fountain without having to chug your beverage in a designated pen.
2. Paid Re-Entry ("In and Out" Access)
For the first time, Bumbershoot is offering a formal path for fans to leave the festival grounds and return later in the day. However, it comes with a specific ticket structure:
• GA + Re-Entry: To enjoy "in and out" privileges, you must purchase a specific ticket tier.
• Pricing: The re-entry option is typically an add-on, priced at roughly $20 for single-day tickets or $30 for weekend passes.
• Why it matters: This allows fans to grab dinner at nearby Lower Queen Anne restaurants or head home for a break before the headliners without losing their spot for the day.
Ticket Info
Tickets are on sale now, with single-day GA starting at $70.50 and weekend passes at $125.50. As a reminder, children 12 and under still get in free when accompanied by a paying adult, making it one of the more accessible major festivals for families in the PNW.
